Antiflash margin
Pressurisation of Closed Heating and Cooling Systems (BG82 2022), by Rob Clemson, published by BSRIA in October 2022, defines antiflash margin as: ‘A pressure margin, referenced from tables, added to the static height requirements to provide a minimum pressure for the system when operating at the design temperature. A safety margin to prevent the system water ‘flashing’ to steam.’
